The omelette is truly spectacular and the cafe's commitment to paying it forward by providing good food to those in need is admirable. The customer service is also outstanding, making this a wonderful neighborhood spot. I highly recommend trying the farmers omelette - it's a real highlight. Groundswell Cafe, through the Matthew 25 program, is doing great work in the community.
The vegan burrito was amazing. We were just driving through and ordered a to go meal ahead of time. So glad this spot exists! Seems like they do a lot for the community too.

Absolutely adore this cafe! No tips are collected. Instead, all 'tips' are then pooled together to provide meals to those who can't afford to have a hot healthy meal. The staff are beyond friendly and are here to listen and just make your day better with hot delicious healthy food, plenty of drink options, and a good and friendly smile
They provide free beautiful nutritious breakfast to those who do not have the means to eat a healthy breakfast. They are a beautiful contribution to our community.
Amazing place downtown on the sw side of the river. First time being here since they opened in 2018 and I was beyond impressed!! They are so kind and generous to every person they meet. The next time I come back I will pay it forward. Great food and amazing house punch! They used to be a musical arts center that helped allow kids in the area have a safe place to go after school and draw, sing, comedy, open mic you name it! Truly amazing to see how this community has grown and this place is planting seeds for God to grow! Love it will be back again definitely!!!
Lovely little place with a great mission to serve the community and a focus on helping the less fortunate. Instead of a tip for food service workers, you can choose to contribute to a "pay it forward" fund to help provide free meals to the needy. If you're hungry and can't afford a meal, you can discreetly order a meal from the pay it forward fund. The food is made from locally-sourced ingredients when possible, and is fresh, healthy, and delicious. Wonderful vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options. A restaurant totally worthy of anyone's support!
